Going Cornish over pasties

Going Cornish over pasties

Our pastry special this week is that most famous of English meals, the Cornish Pasty.

The wives of Cornish tin miners would prepare pasties for their husbands to support them through the long, damp and arduous hours down the mines – a meal made with love.

Our house-made Cornish Pasty features a rich, buttery pastry encapsulating a mix of spiced beef, carrot, potato and onion. Served with rich English gravy and a fresh garden salad, it’s the perfect meal for the hungry worker.
